OUR DAILY RECKONING
Dear Friends
One of the most precious things that we have is this very Life!
Given that, it becomes important, even imperative to live our life in the most conscious, mindful, wise and caring way we can.
Since our Life is but a matter of time; moments that become minutes, that become the hours of the day, that become the weeks, months, years, decades of our Life; it seems important to be considerate particularly in each day of our Life.
When I was a Buddhist Monk, each day we had a Daily Reflection or Reckoning of Questions and Considerations to ask ourselves.
This practice of taking time to Pause, Ponder and Consciously Consider the day with a Daily Reckoning can be a most helpful and skilful practice to help stay on track and keep to what is important and meaningful.
You may like to create your own Daily Reckoning that particularly suits your needs and character.
However, I have put together a Verse of Questions below that could be used as such a Daily Reckoning.
Please take time to read and reflect.

OUR DAILY RECKONING
Our Mindful Daily Reckoning;
Should involve,
Some Mindful Questioning.
How is it that I do Live?
Am I Caring, Kind;
Do I Share and Give?
Is my Attitude of Gratefulness and Joy;
With thoughts of this Precious Human Life,
To bring and employ?
Do I live a Mindful Day;
Aligned to Truth,
Walking the Mindful Way?
Do I practice Daily Meditation;
To live a simple Life,
Free from Complication?
Do I live free from Fear;
With good Companions,
Always near?
In Nature do I take time;
Being Still,
Bringing Mind-Body to Align?
Do I make the most of my Life;
To be Free,
From Stress, Struggle and Strife?
And when Death is quite near;
Will my Mind-Heart,
Be Calm and Clear?
And When the Final Breath does come and go;
Enlightened Freedom,
Shall the Mind Fully Know?
These are things to Pause and Ponder;
In our Daily Life,
Through which we Wander!
