Beautiful Friendship
We need to Connect, Communicate and Care.
Why?
Because, the ‘psychological-self’;
The you and the me;
The I and the we;
The them, they and us;
Is a ‘relational tool’.
The mind’s ‘relational tool’ for connecting and collecting experience; for calculating and communicating with others is the ‘psychological-self’.
This ‘I-self’, is fed and fuelled, nurtured and nourished by the activities of connecting and communing, communicating and caring.
The ‘I-self’ is a psychological relational phenomena;
Created and construed, constructed and conditioned to connect; to relate and create relationships.
The ‘I-self’ is an operating system very much supported and sustained by its relating and relationships,
Contacts and connections with others.
For the most part the ‘I-self’ is the psychological residue and result of the activity of relating through the relationships with others, especially significant others; through the course of our life.
This is why it becomes important even Imperative for the ‘I-self’ to have both good and grateful, happy and healthy people to connect and relate to.
This supports and sustains good, healthy relationships and a good and healthy ‘I-self’.
It is very rare, that an ‘I’-‘self’ would have been created, constructed and conditioned in early childhood to sustain a good, happy, health ‘I’-self’ without the need to have ongoing healthy connections and relationships with others.
The ‘I-self’, needs ongoing nourishment and nurturing, feeding and fuelling through healthy connections and communications, relating and relationships with others.
This the Buddha in his great Wisdom pointed out over 2,500 years ago as the ‘Kalyanamita’; the beautiful friend or friendship. The Buddha spoke dearly about the importance of having Kalyanamita in our life.
We do sense, see, feel and know the loss to the ‘I-self’ and the loss of part and portion of the ‘I-self’ when a relationship dissolves or departs.
Thus, it becomes important and integral to the health of the ‘I-self’, to consciously develop, maintain, support and sustain good and healthy relationships.
Take time, make time, create time to support our good and healthy relationships for the health and ‘sustainable well-being’ of the minds relational tool, the ‘I-self’.
Our Mindful Awareness and Mindful Kindness makes this possible.
Look after the ‘I-self’, by looking after your relationships with others.
You depend in this!
