Winter Newsletter 2020
Dear Friends
Welcome to Winter 2020 – trusting this WELL-AWARE-NESS newsletter finds you both well and warm.
We now find ourselves almost half way through this year 2020!
Maybe this is our year of ‘Retreat’. A year to slow down, quieten down, live and be happy within the limitations that we exist with. A year to listen and learn while also becoming wise and caring.
Whilst we know that in time many of the restrictions and limitations that we have had to deal with will be reduced, I hope that we can take and continue to appreciate and apply the Wise Learnings and Caring Considerations on into the future.
Here at WELL-AWARE-NESS, based on the Tweed Coast of Far North NSW, my weekly Monday Night Meditation Group has not been able to meet. Nor have we had our usual Half-Day Retreats. I know that many of you that usually attend these have missed not having these as I too have missed them and your presence.
Due to space restrictions our Monday Night Meditation Group, will still need to wait until we are able to meet and not have to turn people away. I do hope that you have all been maintaining your Meditation and Mindfulness practices.
I do continue to see Psychology Clients face to face and also through Phone or Skype at both my Farrants Hill and Kingscliff practices. My Kingscliff Psychology Practice has moved within the same building to Level 2; Suite 25B, which provides more space, quiet and a view to the outside.
In maintaining our Meditation and Mindfulness I would like to offer the opportunity of a Non-Residential Three Month Retreat which I am calling the ‘Vassa Retreat 2020’.
VASSA MEDITATION RETREAT 2020
For us here on the Tweed Coast I would like to invite a group of interested people to take up the Vassa Retreat 2020 with 4 one day Meditation Days held at Bodhi Tree Forest Monastery near Lismore, under the guidance of Venerable Pannyavaro.

APPRECIATIVE GLADNESS
Let’s not live under a cloud of gloom;
For as we know, things do change ever so soon!
Let’s choose a mind and mood of gladness;
The choice is ours for joy or sadness.
Let’s not get caught in groan and moan;
Managing our mind state is up to us alone.
Rather than being caught in angst and fear;
Hold Calm, Patience and Kindness near.
Look and align to Goodness and what is Right;
Develop Mindfulness and Clarity of Deep Insight.
Cultivate Care and broad Compassion;
To greed, anger and envy develop dispassion.
Our life is all and only what we make it be;
This is up to all of us to realise and see.
Let go of thoughts of doom;
They only create a mood of gloom.
Don’t focus on loss and sadness;
Create Joy, Meaning and Appreciative Gladness.
