RENOVATE OUR REAL HOME WITH MEDITATIVE MIND TRAINING
Of all the varieties of practices and processes, psychologies and psychotherapies for ‘self-improvement’; there is however no adequate replacement or alternative for Mindfulness based Meditation.
Mindfulness based Meditation is the main way to exercise, develop and enhance the fundamental functioning of the ‘hard ware’ of the brain for enabling and engaging the resultant mind and functioning ‘self’. Many of the life- long unhelpful habits of self can be brought into the calm and clarity of mindful awareness rather than being identified with – and made into both being and behaving.
Whilst we can have great understanding and insight – the fundamental neural functioning of the brain needs to be exercised and enhanced, structured and strengthened for any real change and ‘Full Freedom’.
I continue to be amazed and delighted by the Buddha’s Path of Mindfulness and Meditation for real cognitive change and functional freedom.
Our contemporary Neuroscience is now validating and appreciating the importance of Meditation as a foundation for real change.
This becomes a great complementary therapeutic practice to other forms of psychological practice and psychotherapy.
Our Meditation based upon the Buddhist term of CITTA BHAVANA (Mind-Heart Development) could also be described as a Meditative Mind Training which is both ‘Brain Building’ and ‘Mind Making’.
With our great interest in home renovation and rebuilding; doe is not become important, even imperative to renovate or in some cases rebuild our real home which is our Mind-Heart, where our life is known and lived from?
Our Meditation as Meditative-Mind Training becomes the Path and Practice for this.
