When the Mind
WHEN THE MIND
Love is a fundamental energetic connection that motivates and moves most creatures in various forms and functions. Love is a particular way of connecting to another person or thing. The idea that ‘I love’, creates and compounds the idea of self and other, the idea of two, of ‘I’ and what I love. This is ‘Duality’.
There is a love, even a love affair that we are all involved with, that is so close so us that we need to be quite mindful to recognise it. It is a love affair that is the source of great satisfaction but also of great suffering. It is the love affair that the Mind has and tries to fulfill with the ‘egoic-self’. This union can never be fulfilled as the egoic self is never found to actually be anything substantial or static and is not found to exist in any particular place or home. As much as the Mind tries to merge with the egoic self as the body, profession, personality, psychological structure – thoughts, mental states, emotions, mood, disposition; even spiritual qualities; no firm footing is found that is actually the egoic self. The mind may long for, but it will remain always abandoned and lonely; in love with a shadow, an apparition that continually shifts and changes. Real Freedom is found and Happiness fulfilled, when this unrequited love affair finishes!

Lessens, loosens and has lost
It’s love affair with the egoic-self,
Then Real Peace is possible.
When the mind,
No longer is identified with,
As or through the egoic-self,
Then Real Freedom is found.
When the mind,
No longer seeks,
To find fulfillment through the egoic-self,
Then Real Delight is delivered.
When the mind,
Acknowledges and knows,
The true nature, form and function of the egoic-self,
Then Real Wisdom’s worth is won.
